USTA Mississippi Kids Days at USM and River Hills

USTA Mississippi partnered with the Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles tennis teams to host a “Campus Kids Day” during their match vs Old Dominion in March.

All local area junior players were invited to take part in on court activities, as well as getting the opportunity to hit with and meet college players and get autographs.

Also, River Hills Club hosted a Kids Day on Wednesday, April 5 at their USTA Pro Circuit $25K event.  All of the NJTL’s in the state were invited to the event, with participants coming from several of the local NJTL Chapters such as Jackson Community Tennis Project, Ace2Deuce CTA/NJTL, Friends of Battlefield Park NJTL, and Operation Reach NJTL.

Over 20 kids signed up for the event, and took part in on court drills and games, refreshments, and a player prize.  In addition, the players got a special treat, as they got to hit with and take part in a Q&A session with professional women’s player Alexandra Osborne originally of Sydney, Australia.
