Tennis on Campus Mississippi Championship

2023 USTA Mississippi Tennis on Campus State Championship

We had a great weekend of tennis! Our first TOC Mississippi Championship since 2015. We opened it up this year to teams outside of MS, and we had 12 teams competing.

Ole Miss - A and B

MSU

USM

LSU - A and B

Louisiana Lafayette

Louisiana Tech - A and B

Arkansas - A and B

Washington University in St. Louis

Ole Miss A team won, beating Washington University in the Gold draw finals.

"Team events are fun, collegiate team events are even more fun. Competing and playing as a team for your school is an experience that I wish everyone could experience. Tennis on Campus allows club teams with players of all levels to come and compete, with teams getting separated into different brackets playing against teams close to their level," said William Foreman.

The World Team Tennis format that Tennis on Campus uses features guys and girls singles, guys and girls doubles, and mixed doubles, with every game won adding up to a final team score. Players can sub in and out of matches, and if a team wins mixed doubles but is behind in the game count the mixed doubles match goes into overtime with the team able to come from behind to win. It is unique and creates a very exciting atmosphere for the players.
