24th Annual Southern Senior Cup Team Championships

June 4-7, 2010
Huntsville, AL

The 24th Annual Southern Senior Cup Team Championships continues to be the USTA Southern Section's crown jewel of adult competition in the South. Up to 300 of the top players will go to Huntsville, AL, to represent their state in team competition in Men's and Women's 35-75 age divisions. Huntsville Tennis Center offers 24 clay courts and has hosted a number of large and outstanding tournaments in their brief history. Joc Simmons, who played at Mississippi State and was the head pro at Cypress Hills in Greenville before going to Huntsville, is the Director. Joc and his volunteers have planned a weekend full of Southern hospitality and social gatherings that, along with the competition, is sure to please the players and their guests.

The number of players on each age division team is a minimum of 2 (not desirable) and a maximum of 4 (most desirable). The format of play is 2 singles and 1 doubles per match, except for Women’s 75's, which will be 1 singles and 1 doubles. Because of the good competition and team camaraderie many players say this is their favorite tennis weekend of the year.

If you would like to be considered to be a member of the 2010 Mississippi Senior Cup team, please complete the response form and return it to the Mississippi Tennis Association, P. O.
