Junior Player Development Grant Criteria

The purpose of this grant is to assist promising junior players reach the maximum development of their evaluated tennis potential.

Criteria

  1. Financial need.
  2. Potential based on a certified evaluation by personal tennis coach or an independent qualified tennis professional.
  3. National and sectional rankings will be taken into account, but will not be the sole consideration in awarding this grant. The main purpose of this grant is to assist players in reaching their maximum tennis potential.
  4. Consideration will be given those players willing to represent Mississippi in Southern Closed Championships and Southern Junior Cup events, if selected.

The MTA Junior Player Grant committee will review applications received by the deadline date and distribute grants as soon as possible after that date. Due to limited funds the committee must be very selective and determine need and potential based on information submitted.

Deadline is date application must be in the MTA office.

DEADLINE FOR 2010 FUNDING IS JUNE 10, 2010.
