MTA Board of DirectorsOrganization, Mission and Vision Statement The Mississippi Tennis Association (MTA) is a not for profit organization that serves as the governing body for the sport of tennis in Mississippi. The MTA is one of nine state organization that form the USTA’s Southern Section. An Executive Director and professional staff, located in Jackson, MS carries out daily operations. A Board of Directors and Committee structure of volunteers form policy, provide direction, monitor the organizations work and perform specific volunteer committee duties. The Board of Directors is comprised of a President, Executive Vice President, such additional Vice Presidents as may from time to time be needed, Secretary, Treasurer, Area Directors (two each from five geographic areas) a representative from the Alliance of Mississippi Tennis Professionals, and all active past Presidents of this Board residing within the jurisdiction of the MTA. The Executive Committee will be comprised of the President, Executive Vice President, Vice Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer and Immediate Past President The Mission of the MTA is to promote and develop the growth of tennis in Mississippi. The MTA envisions an ever-increasing progression in the quality and number of tennis players in all geographic area of Mississippi. The MTA will be a recognized contributor and leader in this movement through its administration of a wide-range of USTA affiliated tennis programs for players of all ages and skill levels; coordination of a state-wide coalition of volunteers, tennis professionals, member organizations and individuals and general stewardship of the sport. 2010 MTA Officers & Directors Officers Directors Northeast Capitol South Central Gulf Coast Pro’s Representative Past Presidents
